For years Margurete Wells and I have been teaching an online course in plant propagation. Interactive discussion has turned out to be an important part of that course. One thing we have learned is that an effective way to generate online discussion is to ask questions with or without a relevant picture to go along with the question. We call it "Picture of the Day", even though it doesn't happen every day.
The mushroom picture shown here is certainly relevant to this website's focus on forest mushroom cultivation. So the question is, what kind of mushroom is this, and is it possible to cultivate it on logs (like Shiitake) or another forest farming approach?
